Eleven:11 Music Workshops
1. The Music Production Process
Real-life case studies using a clients original song – from the initial demo through to the final mastered song.
How the project brief was established and defined so that we could deliver on their artistic intent.
Review the composition and arrangement elements in the DAW session to identify production techniques applied and how the song’s aesthetic was achieved in line with the artist’s vision.
2. Song Writing
A review of the song writing process, and exploration of the different tools and techniques available to spark creativity, and develop song writing skills.
3. Song Mixing
A review of the song mixing process, and the role of the mix engineer utilising a real-life project that has been previously delivered to band.
4. Media Music Composition
How to write music to sync media (Movies, TV, Movie Trailers, Commercials).
Observe a composition DAW session, from the initial sketches, to the final piece.
How to set up a sync session: importing visual media, audio samples and frame rates, tempo setting, identifying ”hit points”, interpreting the visual information – translating it to music.
5. Student Studio Sessions
Experience working with a Music Producer and Mix Engineer in a safe learning environment.
Feedback is provided the song writing, composition, arrangement and recording performance to ensure the best version of the song can be delivered.
Songs are mixed to demo quality and provided to students for review with their teacher.
Recorded tracks can be provided to the students/school to practice mixing techniques.
6. Music Industry Q & A
Special guests are invited from the music industry to discuss; their background and experience; how they got started; the choices taken on their career path; their current involvement and area of expertise.
Guests can include: Artists/Performers, Recording/Mix/Mastering engineers, Composers/Songwriters, Artist Managers, Music Promoters, Record Label, Event organisers.
7. Private Mentorship
One-to-one tuition for students wanting to fast-track their understanding and skills in modules (1-5), tailored to the individual students needs and musical interests.
Students are encouraged to work on projects outside of the school curriculum.
